The Solinst Levelogger 6 LTC is a professional water quality datalogger designed to continuously record water level, temperature, and conductivity in groundwater and surface water applications. Combining a datalogger, 8-year battery, Hastelloy® pressure sensor, temperature detector, and 4-electrode platinum conductivity sensor in one compact waterproof housing, the Levelogger 6 LTC provides three critical monitoring parameters from a single instrument.

Simultaneous Level, Temperature & Conductivity Monitoring

The Levelogger 6 LTC continuously measures water level and temperature while its 4-electrode platinum conductivity sensor records changes in electrical conductivity. The conductivity sensor features autoranging capability with a full measurement range of 0–100,000 µS/cm and a calibrated range of 50–80,000 µS/cm.

Conductivity measurements can also be converted to Specific Conductance at 25°C using the Solinst Levelogger Software Data Wizard, allowing monitoring professionals to compare measurements while accounting for temperature-related changes in conductivity.

High-Accuracy Water Level Measurements

A piezoresistive silicon pressure sensor with a Hastelloy® sensor provides water level accuracy of ±0.05% full scale. Available pressure ranges include 5, 10, 20, 30, 100, and 200 meters, allowing the Levelogger 6 LTC to support monitoring programs ranging from shallow surface water installations to deep groundwater wells.

The pressure sensor can withstand up to two times over-pressure without permanent damage, while automatic temperature compensation helps maintain dependable measurements as environmental conditions change.

Precision Temperature & Conductivity Measurement

The integrated Platinum Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) provides temperature accuracy of ±0.05°C with resolution of 0.003°C. Conductivity resolution is 0.1 µS/cm, providing detailed measurements for detecting changes in water chemistry over time.

This combination makes the Levelogger 6 LTC particularly useful when conductivity trends can provide valuable insight into salinity, dissolved ionic content, contaminant movement, runoff, or changing groundwater conditions.

Large Memory for Long-Term Monitoring

The Levelogger 6 LTC stores up to 100,000 sets of readings and includes dedicated backup memory for the most recent 15,000 data sets. Slate and continuous memory modes provide flexibility for different monitoring strategies, while an estimated 8-year battery life based on one reading every five minutes supports extended unattended deployments.

Flexible Sampling & Field Communication

Sampling options include Linear, Event, and User-Selectable Schedule modes with Repeat and Pause functions, Future Start, Future Stop, and Real-Time View. Measurement intervals can be programmed from 2 seconds to 99 hours depending on project requirements.

Field data can be retrieved using compatible Solinst equipment including the Solinst Readout Unit (SRU), DataGrabber, and Levelogger App Interface with Bluetooth®. The Levelogger 6 LTC can also integrate with Solinst telemetry systems and supports SDI-12 and MODBUS communication when used with the appropriate interface cable.

The Levelogger 6 LTC measures only 22 mm x 208 mm (7/8" x 8.2") and weighs approximately 200 g (7.06 oz). Its sealed housing features a corrosion-resistant baked-on coating and double O-ring seals for added protection against leaks and demanding environmental conditions.

For extended deployments where biological growth may affect the pressure sensor or conductivity cell, the Levelogger 6 LTC can also be used with the optional Solinst Biofoul Screen to help reduce biofouling and extend maintenance intervals.
