The Solinst Model 103 Tag Line is a durable, accurately marked measuring line designed primarily for monitoring well installation, well construction, and total well depth measurements. Using a removable stainless steel tag weight attached to a laser-marked cable, the Model 103 provides a simple way to measure depths during well completion and can also serve as a marked support line for deploying groundwater equipment.

The Tag Line is particularly useful during monitoring well construction, where installers need to accurately determine the depth to the top of backfill sand, bentonite, or other well construction materials. Standard cable lengths range from 100 ft. to 1,000 ft. (30 m to 300 m), with other lengths available by request.

Laser-Marked Stainless Steel Wireline

The Model 103 uses durable 1/16 in. (1.6 mm) stranded stainless steel wireline with a polyethylene coating. The wireline has a minimum break strength of 270 lbs. (122 kg), providing the strength required for demanding field applications.

Measurement markings are permanently laser etched onto the cable every 1/4 ft. or every 5 cm. The laser-marked design allows the cable to run smoothly over the Tape Guide while providing clear depth measurements in the field.

The removable tag design allows the reel-mounted marked cable or tape to be used for additional field applications when the tag weight is not required.
