The RKI FP-31 Formaldehyde Monitor is a precision handheld instrument designed to detect and measure formaldehyde (HCHO) gas at low parts-per-million (PPM) concentrations using highly sensitive colorimetric technology. With a simple one-button operation and direct-reading digital display, the FP-31 offers a non-intrusive and reliable solution for real-time indoor air quality testing in labs, hospitals, manufacturing facilities, and regulated environments.
Unlike electrochemical sensors, the FP-31 uses glass detection tablets that react with formaldehyde to produce a color change. The instrument’s optical sensor then measures the color intensity to determine formaldehyde concentration, providing accurate and repeatable results without false positives from interfering gases.
